Code of Conduct
As a non-profit institution founded on Hindu tradition, HCI is committed to adhering to the highest ethical standards and conduct. All stakeholders of HCI, including Board members, employees, and volunteers, are expected to commit to the highest standards of integrity, honesty, fairness, openness, respect for all, and responsibility toward the advancement of the mission of HCI. HCI represents and welcomes anyone identifying as a Hindu or a friend of the Hindu tradition to participate and help at a level that fits their background and experience.

- No harassment of any type is permissible under any circumstances
- No discrimination- where there are equals, merit, and experience will be the criteria, not any specific affiliation or background
- Strict adherence to the agreed position, responsibilities, and rules of governance
- Documentation and written resolution of possible conflicts of interest
- Setting performance goals and their measurements
- No unauthorized spending on behalf of HCI
- No unauthorized media representation on behalf of HCI
- Maintain strong working relationships with the volunteer team
- Ensuring fairness, equity, and inclusiveness
- Respecting the privacy of others
